Tour #7 Independence Day Tour Celebate America with great storms and fireworks. Depart from and return to Denver, Colorado 6 Chase Days/7 Nights
Join our veteran chase team for 6 days of storm chasing during early July, one of the most active periods for tornadoes and supercells on the Plains in recent years. Typical chase territory for this tour is the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles, western Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and the Dakotas. On the evening of July 4th, tour director and veteran chaser William Reid will lead guests to a fireworks viewing, courtesy of either Mother Nature or small town America.
Denver is both the gateway to the Rocky Mountains and to the Great Plains. It is located near the nation's epicenter of tornado activity for late June and early July. Denver provides guests with many sightseeing and outdoor activities. Be sure to visit the National Center for Atmospheric Research in nearby Boulder. Allow extra time to see Denver prior to and after your tour!
Our Denver base hotel offers a free airport shuttle, complimentary continental breakfast, and data ports. Nearby attractions include: Historic Downtown Denver, Colorado Rockies Baseball, and the spectacular Colorado Rocky Mountains for hiking, late season snow skiing at Arapaho Basin, fly fishing and photography.
