Tours Tours include transportation, lodging during the tour, insurance, an exclusive tour T-shirt, and the most successful chase team in the country. Guests are responsible for transportation to the base city, meals and extra lodging prior or after the tour.
Base Cities Each tour will depart from and return to the base city. The group will travel throughout Tornado Alley during the tour.
Transportation Transportation, during tours, is provided in comfortable, smoke-free, 15-passenger vans, 6-7 guests per van, with an unobstructed window view for each guest . Tours depart from the base city hotel. Guests are responsible for transportation to the base city. A free airport shuttle is provided by our base city hotel.
Meals and Lodging Guests are responsible for meals and miscellaneous expenses. Each tour includes lodging at clean, comfortable motels. Private room for each single guest. Free breakfast provided by base hotel and some on-road lodging. Guests will be notified with the name and location of the base city hotel prior to arrival.
Tour Fees Current tour fees are listed above. (Fees are in US Dollars, CLICK HERE for latest currency exchange rate info.) A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required at time of registration payable by US check, credit card, cashier's check or money order. Annual Lecture Tour & Severe Weather Workshop Noted meteorologist Dr. Charles Doswell will present a comprehensive discussion on storm chasing during the 7-day Lecture Tour & Severe Weather Workshop (Tour 6). Arriving and Departing from Base Cities Guests should arrive to the base city hotel by 1:00 PM local time on their "arrive" day and schedule departing flights after 2:00 PM local time on their "depart" day. An orientation is presented upon arrival to familiarize guests with tour guidelines.
What to Bring 5-days of clothing (many motels offer laundry facilities). Weather is warm to hot, so shorts, jeans and T-shirts are the normal dress. A light coat for occasional cool weather, and a camera to capture your experience.
